T&A FLICKS

T&A Flicks is the comedy love child of Tammi Cubilette, Angelo Lozada and Sonia Gonzalez-Martinez. Formed in 2012, T&A made several short comedies for the web. ON TOP, one of their more popular shorts, went on to be a finalist at the NBC Short Cuts Film Festival and became the inspiration for GET SOME! , which T&A co-created and co-wrote.

LIZA COLÓN-ZAYAS, "MICKIE"

Liza Colón-Zayas is a member of New York's critically acclaimed LAByrinth Theater Company, where she appeared in numerous productions by playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis and directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman. She appeared in the Pulitzer Prize winning play, ‘Water By The Spoonful’, by Quiara Alegria Hudes. She garnered three Lucille Lortel nominations, but won it for the Pulitzer winning play, ‘Between Riverside and Crazy’. Joseph La Morte and Gloria La Morte are the producers of GET SOME!

joeyngloria is a creative production company with award winning feature films, documentaries, web series and other short form content including inspired national campaigns. Founders Joseph and Gloria La Morte continue to produce high profile online social impact videos with The Soze Agency whose activism nationwide and across the world has single handedly changed the face of the Public Service Announcement.

Joseph and Gloria are currently in development with an original comedy series I RATHER BE MISERABLE as well as the upcoming comedy web series HENRY by Alain Alfaro for Stage 13.

JEFFREY AKERS, DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY, Season 1

Since receiving his B.A. in Fine Arts from Roanoke College in 1983, Jeff has been pursuing a photography career in New York City. Building on his extensive technical knowledge of lighting and composition, as well as his capacity for team collaboration, Jeff’s growing interest in film and it’s creative potential eventually led him to shift his professional focus towards cinematography. Having now completed several short films, documentaries, music videos, and trade commercials, Jeff is confident he made the right choice.

HANS CHARLES, DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY, SEASON 2

Hans Charles is an Emmy-nominated cinematographer, professor, and filmmaker with over ten years of experience in the film industry. Charles has shot for a range of directors including Spike Lee, Ava DuVernay, Nefertite Nguvu, Salim Akil, Gloria La Morte and countless others. Charles’ films have won a BAFTA (British Academy Film Award), a Peabody Award and several Emmy Awards, and have been nominated for an Oscar, and an Independent Spirit award. His projects, including the film 13th,​ have screened at festivals all over the world including The New York Film Festival, The Urban World Film Festival, the New York City Latino Film Festival, OutFest, the Los Angeles Film Festival, the Zanzibar Film Festival, the BlackStar Film Festival, and on Netflix, HBO, ESPN, and Hulu. Charles created and hosts a weekly film podcast with his creative partner Menelek Lumumba called the Back of the Theater.​ His latest work includes the feature length film directed by Lumumba call 1 Angry Black which premiered at the Blackstar Film Festival in 2018, Mr. Soul!, a documentary film on Ellis Haizlip and his legendary TV show SOUL!, is directed by Melissa Haizlip and Sam Pollard, and currently in production a documentary about legendary hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan directed by Sacha Jenkins (Fresh Dressed, Word Is Bond, Rapture). Charles is also a principal partner at Align Pictures with co-founders/producers Caroline Onikute and Cordielle Street. Charles currently resides on the East Coast with his family.

Sun Kim is a Nee York-based production designer. She received her MFA in frine art from CUNY. She is originally from Seoul, South Kore,ma, where she started her career in Art as a painter and sculptor. Projects now take her across the United States, in addition to South Korea and China.
